Dental Implants in Overland Park, KS

Facing life with a smile is hard when you're missing some or all of your teeth. Dental implants are an advanced, reliable, tooth replacement solution to help you chew better, feel better, and live healthier - all on your terms.

 Tooth Implants Overland Park, KS

Overview

Our teeth play a major role in our daily lives. We use them to break pieces of food apart so that we can digest meals properly. They allow us to speak and communicate effectively by helping us form sounds and words. From an appearance standpoint, they help define how we smile, express emotion, and interact with people. But our teeth also affect our health. Poor dental hygiene can lead to a range of diseases and other concerns. In essence, our teeth are paramount to our emotional, physical, and social well-being.

It makes sense, then, that life gets harder when some or all of your teeth are missing. Unfortunately, missing teeth is a common issue in the United States. Almost one-third of Americans are missing teeth. In the next 15 years, half a billion Americans will need new pearly whites.

Whether due to genetics, accidents, or neglect, losing your teeth hurts - both emotionally and physically. And, up until now, it was unbelievably expensive to have them replaced.

Fortunately, with Renew's state-of-the-art dental implants in Overland Park, KS, you can get a new set of teeth easier, faster, and healthier than ever before. The best part? You don't have to spend sports-car levels of money to get the full set of teeth you need.

What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are a popular option for replacing missing teeth. Unlike some dental clinics that require multiple procedures, Renew's tooth replacement systems require just one surgical appointment. With regular care and professional cleaning from your dentist, your implants can last for the rest of your life.

Dental Implants 101

Dental implants are often the preferred choice for people considering total mouth restoration. Unlike temporary options, dental implants give you a permanent solution for preventing bone loss and renewing your smile. They're created using a small, threaded post that conforms to your jawbone over time. This fusion creates a double-strong anchor that secures your new teeth. Though dentures have a reputation for slipping and sliding in your mouth, dental implants always stay put. If you've been missing out on delicious flavor profiles or the chance to speak confidently, dental implants can be life-changing.

Typical dental implants are made up of three different parts:
Threaded Implant

Threaded Implant

You can think of this titanium screw as a new root for your teeth. It's anchored to your jaw during dental implant surgery.

Abutment

Abutment

An abutment is a small connector prosthetic that connects your dental implants and false teeth. You can think of an abutment as the foundation for your new teeth.

Crown

Crown

The crown of your new tooth is the visible part that you and others see in your mouth. Crowns are made using gorgeous materials and function just like other healthy teeth in your mouth.

Top Signs You Need Dental Implants in Overland Park, KS

Dental implants can all but eliminate the need for repetitive dental work and dealing with missing teeth. Since they act like natural teeth roots, they stimulate your jaw, which prevents it from deteriorating. Plus, dental implants are placed with extreme care by experts, so you don't have to worry about damaging any healthy teeth. It's pretty clear that dental implants are great - but when do you need to get them? Here are a few common signs that you may be a good candidate.

One of the top reasons why people choose dental implants is that they're missing several or all of their teeth. Missing teeth can cause issues with self-consciousness and make it difficult to eat in general. Because dental implants replicate your natural teeth, they can help restore confidence and make eating easier and more enjoyable.

Missing-Teeth

Some people who have dentures, partials, or bridges still feel insecure about their smiles. And that's a shame because nobody should be embarrassed by their smile. If you feel that way, know this: You deserve to feel proud about your smile. Fortunately, dental implants can help. Dental implants can take your confidence to a whole new level. Those days and nights you spent refusing to smile for pictures... Forget about them. Better days are ahead when you have dental implants.

Insecurity

When you have missing teeth, it can be hard to indulge in your favorite foods. It seems like you're constantly on edge due to the pain and inconvenience. When you have dentures, you have to avoid a whole range of foods, like grilled meats and more. With dental implants from Renew you can have your steak and (literally) eat it, too.

Chew

One of the biggest downfalls of dental solutions like dentures is that they don't stimulate your jawbone. When your jawbone isn't stimulated correctly, you will eventually suffer from bone loss. This bone loss can create a sunken-in facial appearance. Dental implants fuse with your jawbone, providing the much-needed stimulus that prevents this from happening.

jawbone

If you or someone you know has had dentures, you know that using them and keeping them clean can be a hassle. After eating, you've got to take them out to be cleaned. Sometimes, you've got to apply denture adhesives to keep them in place. For most people, denture care is messy and monotonous. If you're sick of dealing with sticky adhesives and loose dentures in your mouth, you may want to consider dental implants.

What are the Benefits of Dental Implants?

One of the biggest reasons why people choose dental implants is that they look, feel, and work like natural teeth. Dental implants provide several other benefits, including:

Restored Function

If you've lost some or all of your teeth, you're missing out on a slew of functions that make life easier. With dental implants, you benefit from the same functionality as natural teeth.

check-icon

You can bite into and chew tougher foods that you love, since your bite force is restored.

Dental implants fill in for missing molars, which helps you digest food better.

Dental Implant full mouth restoration options include both fixed removable and non-removable options. In both instances, you can brush just as you would with your natural teeth. With fixed removable solutions, the teeth can come out for extra cleaning and snap right back in. With fixed non-removable options, the teeth stay put and can not be removed, other than by a dental professional for deep cleaning.

Implant Supported Dentures Overland Park, KS

Reliability

Dental implants eliminate one of the biggest concerns that denture-wearers have: their teeth slipping out of their mouth accidentally in public. Unlike dentures, implants are placed securely in your jaw. That means you can eat, talk, smile, and laugh without having to be nervous.

Lifetime Use

Some dental solutions for missing teeth only last for a few years. When cared for properly, dental implants can last for the rest of your life. Dental implants in Overland Park, KS from Renew can cost up to 60% less than other dental implant options and come with a Lifetime Guarantee, making them an outstanding value.

Multiple Tooth Implants Overland Park, KS

Jaw Strength

When there are gaps in the jawbone due to missing teeth, the bone in those areas can start to weaken from lack of stimulation. If the empty space isn't addressed quickly, the bone can lose up to 25% of its volume and will continue to deteriorate over time. Dental implants stimulate your jaw again, which strengthens your jawbone and prevents it from deteriorating.

Permanent Tooth Implants Overland Park, KS

Avoid a Sunken-In Face

When your jawbone starts to deteriorate, the lower third part of your face can begin to sag or look sunken in due to bone loss. Because dental implants integrate with your jawbone and stimulate it daily, you can avoid a sunken facial appearance.

Because they replicate natural teeth, you can feast on your favorite foods. You can talk to strangers with confidence. Perhaps most importantly, you can flash that beautiful smile again without feeling embarrassed. Unlike Renew's full mouth reconstruction, traditional dentures limit your food choices, have to be replaced, and are generally more difficult to wear.

What is Full-Mouth Restoration?

logo-icon

A full mouth restoration, as the name suggests, involves rebuilding or replacing every tooth in your mouth. This procedure combines elements of dentistry and cosmetic surgery to restore both the function and structure of your teeth.

Your teeth are responsible for more than making your smile unique. They help you eat and communicate, too. When you lose your teeth, life changes. It's just that simple. Factors like poor dental care or mouth injuries can cause partial or complete tooth loss. In such situations, a dentist's goal is to restore your oral health and bring back your smile. At Renew, we do full dental replacements. They're not for everyone, but for those who need them, they're a great solution. But what does full mouth reconstruction entail? Let's dig in and find out.

A full-mouth reconstruction - also called a total or full-mouth restoration begins with extracting any remaining teeth before restoration can begin. If you have many missing teeth or your teeth are severely damaged or worn down, you may want to consider this procedure.

You may also want to think about full mouth restoration if you have specific dental conditions. For instance, amelogenesis, a disorder that causes teeth to develop in unusual shapes, and ectodermal dysplasia, which affects both skin and teeth, may require comprehensive reconstruction as you get older.

Dental Implants Overland Park, KS

Dental implants can fully restore your mouth without needing to rely on dentures or bridges. As we covered above, dental implants consist of a titanium post that is implanted into your jawbone. As the process of osseointegration progresses, the surrounding wound heals, firmly anchoring the post in place. Teeth are attached to the implants, restoring both the appearance and function.

 Tooth Implants Overland Park, KS

Did you know that one-tenth of people in the United States are missing all of their teeth? One of the most common reasons for missing teeth is tooth decay, a problem that affects many individuals, not just those who have lost teeth. While some of us may have had more dental fillings than others, we all continually battle against tooth decay.

Bacteria naturally inhabit our mouths, and when they feast on the sugars and starches from our food, they produce an acid that can harm our teeth. This acid gradually erodes the protective layer known as enamel. Once the enamel is compromised, the inner structures of our teeth can begin to decay. Keep an eye out for these signs of tooth decay:

  • Pain or Dull Aches
  • Sensitivity to Cold and Hot Temperatures
  • Sensitivity to Sweet Drinks and Foods
  • Pain
  • Swelling
  • Fever
  • Infection

When left untreated, tooth decay can rot your teeth and cause them to fall out. Along with tooth decay, be aware of these additional risk factors that cause your teeth to fall out.

Gum Disease

Gum disease and tooth loss often go hand-in-hand. Gum disease is a bacterial infection of the gums that can result in serious health problems. If the infection progresses, it can damage the bone that supports your teeth, potentially leading to tooth loss. You might notice swelling or redness in your gums, but often, the condition isn't painful, which means you might have it without even realizing it. If left untreated, gum disease can not only cause your teeth to fall out but also allow the infection to spread to other areas of your body.

A big cause of gum disease is from plaque accumulating on your teeth. Other factors that increase the likelihood of gum disease include:

  • Frequent Alcohol Consumption
  • Using Tobacco Products
  • Clenching or Grinding Your Teeth
  • Genetics
  • Poor Nutrition
  • Diabetes
  • Autoimmune Conditions and Diseases

Tooth Injuries

Losing your teeth due to an injury is a fairly common occurrence, especially for MMA fighters and boxers. But you don't have to be a combat sports athlete to lose your teeth. It can happen due to an injury, car accidents, accidents at work, or just getting hit in the face with a ball really hard, it doesn't take that much force to damage teeth and ruin someone's smile.

Missing teeth impact your oral health, but they also take a toll on your emotional and mental well-being. Ask yourself these questions:

  • Do you always turn down social gathering invitations?
  • Do you make it a point not to smile in photos?
  • Do you think you need to cover your mouth when you laugh to avoid embarrassment?

Renew's full mouth restoration can be the solution you've been searching for.

Steps of a Dental Implant Procedure

Have you ever wondered what's involved in a dental implant procedure and how long it takes? In the past, dental implant procedures were often considered long and painful. Today, dental implant surgeries are streamlined and tailored to your unique dental needs. At Renew, you can have new dental implants with a single surgery.

No, we're not pulling your leg. All it takes is one surgical appointment to get dental implants that feel, look, and function like natural teeth. By fixing your teeth on the same day as your surgery, treatment and recovery times are reduced. When your implant procedure is finished and you're fully healed, the sparkling-white teeth of your dreams become a reality. That crispy, juicy apple that's been calling your name? Go ahead and dig in. It's time to savor the flavor of life.

Fiserv Inc. revealed where and when it will open its regional headquarters on the Aspiria campus — and won a big thumbs-up from Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly.

The Fortune 500 company (NYSE: FI) will take space at 6500 and 6550 Sprint Parkway in Overland Park later this year. It plans to have 2,000 employees there by March 2030.

"When I took office in 2019, my administration promised to modernize and diversify the Kansas economy in order to build long-term resilience," Kelly said in a release. "Fiserv's new strategic hub in Overland Park is a significant step forward as we continue to elevate Kansas to new heights. Fiserv will create high-value career options including opportunities for military personnel transitioning to civilian life and graduates of our higher education system."

The Kansas City Business Journal uncovered that Fiserv was behind the code name “Project Turtle” deal. The fintech company handles account processing, card issuer processing and digital banking, among other services. Fiserv is Wisconsin's largest public company and employs roughly 40,000.

Fiserv will lease approximately 427,000 square feet in the two buildings at Aspiria. The average annual wage for jobs there will be about $125,000.

Last week, an Overland Park committee gave unanimous approval to draft a property tax rebate agreement for Fiserv’s Aspiria lease. The company seeks a 10-year, 40% property tax rebate.

The proposed rebate is valued at approximately $1.3 million, and tenant improvements to support the company are estimated to be $125 million. The fintech reported $20.5 billion in revenue for fiscal year 2024, according to Securities and Exchange Commission filings.

"We are thrilled to expand our U.S. footprint, bringing our people together to drive innovation on behalf of our clients," Fiserv CEO Frank Bisignano said in the release. "The greater Kansas City metro area offers a dynamic environment with a growing population of tech talent, making it the ideal location for Fiserv's next strategic fintech hub. Working with local and state leaders, we are committed to driving growth and prosperity for both Fiserv and Kansas while contributing to the vibrancy of the Overland Park community."

UPDATED 3:15 P.M. APRIL 21

A financial technology company has reached a deal for a major office at the former Sprint campus in Johnson County as part of its plans to locate 2,000 jobs in Kansas.

Fiserv Inc. — a publicly traded company that provides computer technology to banks and other financial firms — has struck a deal to occupy more than 400,000-square-feet of space in the former Sprint campus in Overland Park, Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly’s office announced Monday morning.

Fiserv expects to have approximately 2,000 jobs in Kansas as a result of the project, Kelly’s office said. The average salary at the Overland Park location is expected to be $102,000 per year, according to a press release from the governor’s office.

The Overland Park location will become a “fintech hub” for the company, meaning it will become a center for the company to not only serve existing clients but also to develop new technology.

“The greater Kansas City Metro area offers a dynamic environment with a growing population of tech talent, making it the ideal location for Fiserv’s next strategic fintech hub,” Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fiserv Frank Bisignano, said in a press release. “Working with local and state leaders, we are committed to driving growth and prosperity for both Fiserv and Kansas while contributing to the vibrancy of the Overland Park community.”

Fiserv expects to open the Johnson County location in two phases, with the first part of the project opening in 2026. The company expects to invest about $175 million to renovate two building on the Aspiria Campus, which formerly housed the headquarters for Sprint telecommunications.

“Fiserv’s new strategic hub in Overland Park is a significant step forward as we continue to elevate Kansas to new heights,” Kelly said in a press release. “Fiserv will create high-value career options including opportunities for military personnel transitioning to civilian life and graduates of our higher education system.”

The Aspiria Campus was selected for its central location and proximity to Fiserv’s growing Midwest client base, the company said. The company currently operates similar innovation hubs in Milwaukee, Omaha, and New York City, among other locations.

A Kansas City economic development leader indicated that the K.C. metro area won the project over competition from Nashville, Dallas and Atlanta.

“Fiserv’s investment is monumental – and so is the Kansas City region’s ability to deliver,” Kansas City Area Development Council President and CEO Tim Cowden said in a press release. “With a fast-growing tech sector, a deep pipeline of financial services talent, and a business community that works as one, Kansas City has the capacity and competitiveness to meet this moment.”

The governor’s office said the Fiserv project, when completed, will be the “largest office recruitment in Kansas history.”

“Fiserv is a global leader in fintech and financial services, and its decision to make Overland Park the central hub for their payment platform speaks volumes to the IT ecosystem and the business environment here in Kansas,” Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland, said via press release. “The high-wage opportunities Fiserv will bring to Overland Park will have lasting economic impact for our entire state, including the technology talent pipeline and the small businesses that will have a new regional partner for payment processing.”

The press release didn’t provide details about what, if any, financial incentives the state has offered the company to locate in Kansas.

Fiserv, which is based in Milwaukee, has about 40,000 employees, and reported about $20 billion in revenue in 2024. The company, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol FI, is part of the S&P 500. It operates multiple divisions, including account processing, digital banking, card issuer processing, e-commerce, and the cloud-based point-of-sale system Clover.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Fiserv, a Milwaukee-based financial services company, officially announced plans for a 2,000-employee regional headquarters in Overland Park’s Aspiria campus.

Officials in Overland Park, along with local economic development leaders and Kansas officials, had dropped hints about the development — dubbed Project Turtle — for several days.

Those hints led to reports Friday that Fiserv was the company.

The company made the news official Monday morning.

“The greater Kansas City metro area offers a dynamic environment with a growing population of tech talent, making it the ideal location for Fiserv’s next strategic fintech hub,” Fiserv Chairman and CEO Frank Bisignano said in a release Monday. “Working with local and state leaders, we are committed to driving growth and prosperity for both Fiserv and Kansas while contributing to the vibrancy of the Overland Park community.”

Plans call for a $125 million renovation of 427,000 square feet of office space in two buildings on the Aspiria campus, the former home to global telecommunications giant Sprint. The company has pledged to hire 2,000 employees by March 2030 with an average annual salary of $125,000.

Several other cities across the country were also reportedly in the running to host the regional headquarters, including Nashville.

Similar to efforts to land the Panasonic EV battery plant in De Soto, a group of economic development officials from the local and state levels partnered on an incentives proposal to land Fiserv’s regional HQ.

“Fiserv’s new strategic hub in Overland Park is a significant step forward as we continue to elevate Kansas to new heights,” Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly said Monday. “Fiserv will create high-value career options, including opportunities for military personnel transitioning to civilian life and graduates of our higher education system.”

As part of the local incentives package, Overland Park leaders are moving forward with a plan to rebate a portion of property taxes paid on the leased space. That portion would include taxes paid toward Overland Park, Johnson County and the Blue Valley Recreation Commission. Taxes paid to the Blue Valley School District and Johnson County Community College would not be included in the rebate.

The agreement includes provisions that would claw back some of the incentives if Fiserv doesn’t meet employment targets and participate in several regional economic development organizations.

Fiserv, a Fortune 500 Company, plans to open the Kansas office later in 2025.

Fiserv is looking to build a regional headquarters. Here's why it picked the location.

Milwaukee-based financial services company Fiserv Inc. plans to open a regional headquarters in Kansas, bringing almost 2,000 jobs to a Kansas City suburb.

Fiserv will lease almost 500,000 square feet in the city of Overland Park for the project, for which it will hire the workers by March 2030. The jobs will have an annual average wage of $125,000.

An Overland Park committee gave unanimous approval Wednesday for Fiserv to draft a 10-year, 40% property tax rebate for its leased space, according to the Kansas City Business Journal, a sibling publication. The incentive package will be voted on later.

The Kansas City area initially was not in the running as the company searched for a new location, said Alex Leath, a partner at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP.

“We looked at Phoenix. We looked at Dallas-Fort Worth. We looked at Atlanta. We looked at Nashville. We looked at South Florida,” Leath said. “To be honest, the Kansas City area was not on the list.”

The company's location at the Aspiria corporate campus will be a "regional headquarters" and "regional operating hub," Leath said, according to sibling publication Nashville Business Journal.

Tenant improvements to support the company are estimated to be $125 million.

The school system, welcoming environment and willingness for locals to work in office were all factors in the firm’s decision to pick Overland Park, Leath said.

Fiserv (NYSE: FI) is a publicly traded company that does account processing, card issuer processing and works in digital banking, among other services. It works with merchants, banks, credit unions, corporate and public-sector clients.

The company reported about $20.5 billion in revenue for fiscal year 2024 and about $77.1 billion in assets, according to Securities and Exchange Commission filings. It had $3.1 billion in net income. It is Wisconsin's biggest public company.

A mystery company wants to move into Overland Park.

Dubbed Project Turtle, a company from outside Kansas plans to invest $125 million to renovate and lease 420,000 square feet of existing space on the Aspiria Campus, formerly Sprint, and employ 2,000 full-time employees with an average annual salary of $125,000, according to city documents.

Mayor Curt Skoog and city staff have worked with the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Development team and the Kansas Department of Commerce to attract Project Turtle to the Aspiria Campus — located on West 119th Street and Nall Avenue. The developer is asking for a 10-year property tax rebate on property taxes paid for its leased space.

The rebate, approximately 40% of the total taxes, would exclude property taxes that would go to Blue Valley School District and Johnson County Community College, and it would be contingent on specific terms set by the city.

But at this point, no additional details on the developer proposing the project are publicly available.

Overland Park Chamber of Commerce officials signed a nondisclosure agreement and cannot comment, chamber Senior Vice President of Economic Development Libbey Tucker said via email. City officials said they couldn’t disclose details because the information is protected by the Kansas Open Records Act.

This isn’t the first time a large investment came into Johnson County under wraps.

The Panasonic plant in De Soto received incentives from state, county and local governments that totaled more than $1 billion, but Kansas lawmakers didn’t publicly discuss any details on the state’s largest economic development deal until last year due to nondisclosure agreements.

The Kansas City Royals’ new ballpark is another mystery in the metro.

Like Panasonic, officials on both sides of the state line are putting together funding packages to incentivize the team to stay in the KC region.

After Jackson County voters rejected a sales tax to help build a new stadium in the Crossroads last spring, the team has eyed several sites across the metro as options, but nothing has been set in stone.

At one point, the Aspiria Campus — where Project Turtle is planning to lease office space — was under consideration for the stadium, according to past Star reporting. But Aspiria officials have said that it’s “just a rumor.”

Aspiria could not be reached for comment on Project Turtle.

The Overland Park Finance, Administration and Economic Development Committee will be discussing the project on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
